Stop Press – Travel Photographer of the Year

Posted September 29th, 2010

If you’ve returned from your travels with some amazing images, you’ve still time to enter them into the 2010 international Travel Photographer of the Year awards (TPOTY).

The TPOTY awards close on 9 October and, with some fantastic prizes to be won, it could definitely be worth taking the time to sort through those shots and upload your entries online.

Prizes include Intrepid Travel trips to South East Asia, Botswana, India and Nepal, cash bursaries, Photo Iconic tuition plus some of the latest kit from Adobe, Wacom, Lexar, LEE filters and Plastic Sandwich. And to encourage new and emerging photographers there are places on the Young Photographers Alliance mentoring programme, plus the chance of representation from Axiom Photographic Agency.

Last year photographers in over 70 countries took up the TPOTY challenge. And it’s not just aimed at those who’ve been wielding a camera for years. Whether you’ve only recently started taking images or are working as a pro., and whether you're a kid with a camera or an adult with a mobile phone, there’s a TPOTY category for you.

Entry fees start at £10, and entry is free for those aged 18 or under. Visit www.tpoty.com for full details.
