'Capability' Brown 2016
Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown changed the face of 18th century England, designing country estates and mansions, moving hills and making flowing lakes and serpentine rivers, a magical world of green.
2016 is the 300th anniversary of ‘Capability’ Brown’s birth and to commemorate the year we will be joining a nationwide celebration.
Blenheim Palace was one of Brown’s finest examples of his work and, in 1763, he transformed Blenheim Palace’s landscaped Parkland which, although appearing natural, is ‘contrived to pleasing effect’.

Sunday Jazz
On selected dates throughout winter, visitors can enjoy a relaxing brunch to the smooth sound of live Jazz music in our Oxfordshire Pantry or Water terrace Café.
Organ Recitals
On selected dates, visitors can enjoy recitals on our Willis organ that bring the history and scale of Blenheim Palace to life.
